PLASMA Team Power Source Series 5000 is transistorised and supervised by a Personal Computer which takes care of the control and regulation of
currents, gas flowrates, time phases and external units, to be interfaced to a positioner/manipulator equipment for plasma hardfacing by Plasma Transferred Arc technique (P.T.A. Process).
The designed configuration of the power source and the user oriented software (Dialogue system) will enable real time setting and regulation of the following parameters:

Transistor technology supports the instantaneous energy self-adjustment required by the welding process.
Therefore the power source does not force its electrical reaction on the process, but it considers the actual demand of energy from the arc for powder melting.
PLASMA TEAM power source has a transistor stage, electronically controlled, and no inductance coil tied to the welding process.
The real time control of this transistor stage secures a specific energy adjustment of plasma arcs during the
different phases of process; so penetration and shape of the deposit can be varied in broad limits. The mind and core of PTA power source is the computer
and the transistor stage, which controls the energy and heat input to the hardfacing process; the static as well as the dynamic behaviour of the power source is
determined by an electronic system controlled by the computer. All the parameters
are easily programmed and displayed on the monitor. Special routines stored in computer
source code select and elaborate these parameters, transmitting data to the transistor stage.
The final result is a welding power source of great precision, the best possible solution for PTA process.
The personal computer, which can store thousands of welding programs, takes the burden of supervisor off the
operator shoulders, thus achieving hardfacing sequences with maximum quality and repeatability assurance. |
