Power source Series 5000 - Transferred arc stage

Fig. 1 - Transferred stageThe Transferred Arc Stage,  direct current, connected in direct polarity  between the Tungsten Electrode (-) of the torch  and the workpiece (+), provides for the operative control of the transferred arc (main arc).
The Transferred  Arc is automatically sparkled by High Frequency  pulses coming from the Ignition Box.

This arc is  responsible for energy transformation during  welding, mainly heat input to workpiece and  deposit dilution.
