The Transferred Arc Stage, direct current, connected in direct polarity between the Tungsten Electrode (-) of the torch and the workpiece (+),
provides for the operative control of the transferred arc (main arc). The Transferred Arc is automatically sparkled by High Frequency pulses coming from the Ignition Box.
Fig. 1 - Transferred Arc Stage - Connections This arc is responsible for energy transformation during welding, mainly heat input to workpiece and deposit dilution.
